Fenrir Needs Surgery

He's my baby. Last week Fenrir started slowing down his eating, and sleeping more. We kept an eye on him, and tried changing his food up (you know how picky cats can get), and offering treats but he just kept getting more lethargic.

We took him to the vet and after a series of tests, xrays, meds, and fluid we discovered he had eaten a small object: about 2cm x 1cm and that it was stuck in his small intestine. The surgery estimate was $6000 but the vet said before it was necessary we could try encouraging him to pass it at home.

For the past 3 days I have sat by his side day and night - sleeping only briefly in the evening when Mark and the girls watched him. I syringe water mixed with pumpkin and raw food into his mouth every half an hour to keep him hydrated. I encourage him to walk, and rub his belly to try to stimulate him to move it along. He still hasnt passed it, and is still lethargic.

His belly is not disdended, nor is he acting in pain -and we also have pain meds from the vet to administer to keep him comfortable while this works its way out.

We are running out of time - and surgery is looking more and more likely. Being unemployed for 2 months ate into my savings, and the vet bill already for the diagnosis has taken the rest. I have a bit left, but not near enough to cover the procedure. I hate that it has come to this, but I am relying on the kindness of strangers to save my boy. Please help me save my boy.

If there are any extra funds - I will donate them to an animal shelter. If anyone can help in any way - I am breaking, and cannot lose him.
