Hello Fengtastic Friends!
In lieu of a birthday gift this year, I'd be most grateful if you would be kind enough to consider making a donation on my behalf to a great cause, the gift of higher education.
I currently sit on the Electrical Computer Engineering (ECE) Illinois Alumni Board and am a proud M.S.E.E. graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and am very aware of the rising cost of college tuition and how many really bright students are discouraged from enrolling due to the price tag of college. During my time at UIUC, I was awarded scholarships that helped aid in my tuition and gave me the opportunity to focus on obtaining a world class education.
I'd specifically like to focus my efforts of fundraising on the Electrical and Computer Engineering Visionary Scholarship Fund as I have met some of the recipients last year and want to help in continuing to make a difference in sourcing this Fund.
My plan is to birthday fundraise, make a contribution myself, investigate a company match and further partake in the Grainger Matching Challenge in order to make this scholarship as useful as possible.

Our top giving priority for incoming undergraduate students is the Engineering Visionary Scholarship (EVS) Initiative. EVS attracts the best and brightest students and places a focus on highly qualified students from the State of Illinois. When you donate to EVS, you’re supporting students that set the standard for excellence and continuing the Illinois Engineering legacy.
It's possible to double the donation now thru December 31, 2019. The Grainger Matching Challenge will match donations up to $25 million to Engineering at Illinois’ undergraduate scholarship endowments.
