Hi my name is Jamie Wolf, Founder of Fencing For Fires (FFF) or the Fencing For Fires Army as we are known! A Volunteer grassroots Army based in Albury/Wodonga on the border of VIC & NSW.
During Australia's worst natural disaster in 2020 (Black Summer Bushfires) Fencing For Fires was born. It started out providing fencing supplies to those who were affected but turned into so much more. Many Australians got behind the relief effort which included financial assistance, materials as well as good old Aussie Spirit. We were able to provide over 1.3 million Dollars in donations, materials and labour to support those affected right across the fire grounds. Check out our Facebook page Fencing For Fires.
Now in Summer 2026 we find ourselves here again with another disaster unfolding. As it is an evolving situation, we decided to get ahead of the game by kicking off the new round of GoFundMe. Monies donated will go to those who need it, and as we are on the ground within days, not months or years we can get relief to where it is needed. We utilise GoFundMe as funds are received quickly and we can use it where we need to rather than donating to a large corporation which can take our fire affected landowners longer to access. We cut out the red-tape bullshit and help Australians in need quickly.
Funds will also go into ensuring our team have what they need when they are doing the rounds within the fire grounds. We've seen this before and we know that fencing supplies aren't just the required recourses. It can extend to food, water, facilities, clothing, stock feed and management and labour. As stated, if we get the support, we will get it to where it is needed.
We will also look into labour to assist in Emergency Fencing to ensure our fire affected are able to yard their stock where required. At a later date we will assess further needs if required. We will always provide updates through our Facebook Page so that you can follow our journey. If you are a business owner that can provide a service, we are always keen to build the network. This can also help getting to more places across the disaster area- so please reach out.
Looking forward to working with our team to help out of fellow Australians in their time of need. Chat soon legends, Thanks for supporting.
