Fences 4 Robin's 4 Rescues

Donation protected
My name is Robin Young. I am a 71 year old single woman, retired from my career, with an income from Social Security and a part time job in Shepherdstown, WV. During the last 30 years of my life I have rescued and or adopted 29 animals: dogs, cats, horses and donkeys. Each one I considered family and have cared for them throughout their lives and their dying processes. At present my "family" includes dogs Runner and Dexter (both 12 years old), a 16 year old cat named Pumpkin, two horses and two donkeys. When establishing my 3-acre farmette 5 years ago, I leased an adjoining 4-acre pasture to assure my donkeys and horses plenty of grazing. Now, a developer has purchased that pasture and my lease ends this November (2023). Losing the pasture creates 3 hardships for my animals and me: 1. Acreage for grazing/nourishment will be greatly diminished. 2 A new boundary fence must be built to keep the animals off their old pasture and within my 3 acres. 3. New fences are needed to create two separate one-acre grazing pastures which will only minimally meet grazing needs for the animals. I have scheduled the fencing to be built this October at an estimated cost of $7000. This GoFundMe account is an urgent request for donations to pay for these fences. I will be grateful for your help in raising this money in less than 5 months. I will post updates along with photos, videos and stories about the animals on my FB account: Robin Young Studio. I welcome questions through FBMessenger Donkey and horse feed, hay, vet and farrier services take up a big part of my small income. Though I struggle to save money each week, it is impossible for me to meet the cost of this fence project. These fences are an integral part of the future well being of my donkeys and horses, who will ultimately be the recipients of donor's generosity. Let me introduce them to you. My horse Phelan who has been with me for 18 years, is a 28 year old Thoroughbred, raced in 69 races, retired at age 9 then neglected and starved in a field outside Charles Town WV. Mr. Baker is also 28 years old, a Quarter horse, left for weeks with two other horses locked in a coral with no food or water. When rescued by Police Officer Phillip Baker (his namesake) one horse was already dead and the other had to be euthanised. Donkey Shammie was found abandoned in a National Forest, age unknown. Both my donkeys Shammie and YangYang came to me as a result of my work as a volunteer and board member at Give Me A Chance Equine Rescue in Arkansas. Even through financial hardships, I have always managed to pay for what my animals have needed...until now. Asking for money is a humbling experience for me but I am able to ask for them because of my committment to them.
