Hi, my name is Tameka Christmas, the creator for Fempreneur Founder. FF is a digital agency that supports women entrepreneurs in the state of Louisiana. We provide in-person workshops and events, coaching, and funding for women entrepreneurs. Through our community initiative, we hope to increase the playing field for women.

 

About 3% of black women are running mature businesses yet they are starting businesses at a higher rate. We want to increase the percentage in our city and assist with business development and certification.

Our mission is simple: to support and fund female founders so that their revenue and brand can grow.

 

Your investment will help us:

 

Support: promoting women entrepreneurs on our platform through the founders directory. Founders Directory will house links and bios of female founders in Louisiana. Any upcoming events or ways to purchase from them will be visible. No more searching fb asking “who does this?” We’ll have a directory just for you.

 

Mentor: We’re going to share our resources and skills as well as our network with women ready to start, grow, and scale their business through an online membership option.

 

Fund: While female ownership have rose by 21%, still only 2% of funding is allocated to women owned businesses. We’re going to establish a Fempreneur fund to kick start a dream or keep it going. But with that comes mentorship on using the funds to grow and setting up your business to accept funds.

 

Community: Through events and in person workshops, our goal is to build a community for women to learn and grow. The ability to talk with someone that’s going through a similar struggle or just learn become crucial in business.

Tameka Christmas is a serial entrepreneur, impactful mentor, and brand strategist. During her six years of teaching, she went on to found a nonprofit organization for teen girls. Through the community initiative, she hosted girl conferences and more within her school. Because of this experience, she learned how to plan events, brand, and design their website.

 

During the pandemic, she launched The Branding Cafe, a branding agency that specializes in web design and marketing for female founders. Her mission is to empower women to own their life’s journey and propel themselves forward
