FemEng in Botswana 2026

FemEng is a female student-led society that aims to empower and support women in engineering regardless of background. FemEng in Botswana is a project that involves a team of eight female engineering students from the University of Glasgow, traveling to Botswana to deliver skill-based engineering workshops to junior and secondary schools across Botswana. The project aims to encourage young people, especially girls, to pursue pathways in engineering and STEM while breaking down barriers that can exclude women from these fields. By informing students about the diverse paths and benefits of a STEM related career, we hope to make a lasting impact and inspire more students to enter higher education to broaden their horizons and ambitions.

Donating to our fundraiser will allow us to make this project happen. Any funds received will go directly to covering the costs of travel, accommodation, interactive workshop materials and bus travel within Botswana so that we can reach more rural communities. Your generosity will make a huge positive impact and ensure that we can reach as many young people as possible.
