Hello! My name is Felix and I’m a 20 year old trans guy from the UK.

Initially I poured my heart out onto the page in writing my GFM. I detailed all of my struggles, my transition, my mental health issues, etc. I believe transparency is important, and I still stand by that, but this time I’d like to avoid the intricacies. I’m sure everything has been said before from those who have been in the same boat so I won’t go on too much.

At the end of the day we cannot compare struggles, but still I have struggled greatly with my mental health to where I’m still learning to navigate it all now.

I’ve at last started progressing with the London GIC after initially being referred in February 2019 and finally being seen in December 2024 and again in May 2025.

I contacted the clinic again recently regarding a possible timeline for a surgery referral and was informed that they are currently seeing patients last seen in October 2023, implying another 3 years of waiting for a consultation. I would be lying if I said this was an easy pill to swallow.

I am very grateful to be on hormones since I was 16, it has changed my life in every way for the better, and I’m so excited to keep growing into who I need to be and who I am with them. Luckily the clinic is continuing to prescribe my HRT.

Top surgery to me would mean freedom, it would mean being able to take care of and take pride in my body properly. It is the step I need to be able to live authentically and happily.

I am exhausted in this way when I could be free, be comfortable in my own skin.

I work part-time currently, and while I’m looking for a full-time job still, I face a lot of difficulty in participating in daily life because I’m autistic & have a lot of mental health issues that has meant I’m unable to save as much as I’d like to from not working full time.

In donating you will be directly helping me to live life to my fullest. All funds are being placed directly into a savings account where they will not be touched until I’m at the next steps in my journey towards top surgery, or for transtape in the meantime.

This will be for the costs of consultation fees/referrals/letters, travel expenses, the surgery itself, etc.

As of right now I am undecided where I’d like to go, to which surgeon, to fly or not to fly etc. These things will be decided carefully when I’ve got the funds for the ball to start rolling.

Please prioritise yourselves and any other GoFundMe’s of those who need the help more before donating !!!

While I am struggling, I am not in immediate danger or harm, I have a roof over my head. I am incredibly lucky and grateful to have my support network.
