154km run for Mind
This April I will be running the length of the West Highland Way for the charity 'Mind'.
Mind works both locally and nationally to bring light to the mental health crisis currently affecting so many in the UK and globally. 1 in 4 people annually suffers from poor mental health, and 1 in 6 people have reoccurring mental health struggles annually. Mind works round the clock to provide help to those struggling and to campaign for better services and increased awareness around these struggles.
Like many others, I have faced struggles with my mental health and have known so many who have struggled and continue to struggle with their mental health, so this is a charity very close to my heart.
The run shall take place between the 24th - 26th of April, starting in Milngavie and finishing in Fort William I will be covering 154km (96 miles) through the Scottish Highlands with over 3000m of elevation. I am aiming to complete this in 3 days averaging just over 50km (30 miles) per day.
Any donations are greatly appreciated, Thank you.
