Felipe "Chompy" Campos Funeral Funds
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our beloved Felipe “Chompy” Campos has departed from this world. Over the course of last 15 years, Chompy has been a big piece in the creative success and growth of many restaurants. Most recently, he worked closely with Angelo Heropoulos to create many of our new favorite recipes at The Hero Ranch Kitchen. If you were lucky enough to join us at one of our Dine in the Vines Events, you would have also had the pleasure of enjoying his cuisine & watching Chompy create in his true element. Chompy was born with an artistic gift to create. He was not only an exceptional chef, but a work force that few could keep up with. His energy and work ethic were unparalled. Chompy started as a dishwasher with the desire to move up and showcase his talents. Without any formal education or training, he let his heart and his spirit guide him in the kitchen. He would spend endless hours with Angelo creating and dreaming about the next big recipe. His love for the kitchen and his pride made it almost seem effortless. He will be missed by all of us.
We are asking our community to help us raise money for the funeral expenseses. This was quite unexpected and a shock to all of us. Chompy leaves behind 2 children, Lupe & Junior, wife Erika, brother Roberto and his loving parents. We ask that you please share this with our community, and contribute whatever you can. We want nothing more than to give back to Chompy’s family and help them during this difficult time. We want to thank all you for honoring the memory of Chompy. He will be deeply missed. He was always ready to show us the true meaning of a great dining experience, and he left a little piece of his heart in every dish that he made.
