FELINE INFECTIOUS PERITONITIS RESEARCH GRANT HELP
Donation protected
I’m Debra Roberts, and our cat Luna is the FIRST cured cat from the 2017 UC Davis trials with Dr. Niels Pedersen with the nucleoside analog GS441524. Luna is now a SEVEN-YEAR survivor as of July 2024 (14 weeks at diagnosis). I share her story to prove this treatment not only works but it's long-term!
This fundraiser is for FIP Research. Even though an effective off-market cure exists and now some vets are able to prescribe the new (still unapproved by the FDA, but "allowed") compounded oral GS, money for research is needed to find new drugs that can be FDA-approved. These research trials are underway, but they need our help. This fundraiser will run through 2024.
I am directing support to the Every Cat Foundation's "Bria Fund," where 100% of the donations go to FIP research. Research projects at UC Davis, Colorado State, Ohio State, and Cornell are doing some exciting work!
Our team works tirelessly to help cats stricken with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) to be treated and cured. This means helping them find the safest treatment and coaching them through the 12 weeks of treatment and 12 weeks of observation. The cure rate for FIP with our team is approximately 93% if started timely! Vets, shelters, rescues, breeders, and pet parents rely on our network and others similar to us, to help with safe and affordable treatment options and for supportive care advice. If you need advice for your FIP cat, you can get it fast at Help For FIP®.
We are in a time of extensive learning and awareness that these cats do NOT have to die because of the unfortunate decision of the big pharma company that refused to license via the FDA. While the way we got here has never happened before, tens of thousands of cat owners are enjoying their beloved pets for years to come.
