Felicitas S. López nació en San Nicolás, Tamaulipas el 29 de octubre de 1932. Sus padres fueron Antonia Candanoza Mata Sánchez y Telesforo Sánchez.
En 1948 conoció a Gonzalo López con quien se casó ese mismo año en Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
En agosto de 1972 su vida cambió para mejor al convertirse a la fe cristiana. A partir de ese momento ella vivió con la convicción de que Cristo era su único Señor y Salvador. Esa confesión de fe cambió el curso de la historia para ella y su familia.
Durante su caminata de fe fue una contribuyente clave en la plantación de cuatro iglesias. Apoyó a muchos misioneros en todo el mundo y ayudó a estudiantes de escuelas bíblicas de varios países en Latinoamérica. Ella fue un pilar de su amada Iglesia Cristo Rey de la cual fue miembro durante 29 años y en la que sirvió como consejera para el liderazgo eclesiástico.
La Iglesia Cristo Rey se ha caracterizado por ser una institución en la que el cuidado de los ancianos es sumamente importante, es por ello que se esfuerzan en involucrarlos para que sean una parte vibrante de su congregación. “Ministerio de Ancianos Peniel” es una muestra de este esfuerzo, y nuestra abuela Felicitas, no solo era parte de este ministerio junto a su esposo sino que amaba ser parte de él. Por eso le pedimos que, en lugar de flores, considere por favor hacer una donación al “Ministerio de Ancianos Peniel” en honor a la vida de nuestra abuela Felicitas.

Felicitas S Lopez was born in San Nicolas, Tamaulipas October 29, 1932 to Antonia Candanoza Mata Sanchez and Telesforo Sanchez. In 1948 she met Gonzalo Lopez, and during the same year, they were married in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
In August of 1972, her life changed for the best as she converted to the Christian faith. From that point on she would live with the conviction of Christ as her Lord and savior. This conversion to Christianity would change the course of history for her and her family. During her faith walk, she was able to be a key contributor to four church plants, she supported many missionaries around the globe, and supported Bible school students from other countries in Latin America. She was a pillar to her beloved church Iglesia Cristo Rey where she was a member for 29 years and served as a counselor to the leadership of the church.
Iglesia Cristo Rey has been instrumental with caring for the elderly and continues to engage them to be a vibrant part of the congregation. It is for this reason that in lieu of flowers please consider giving a donation to our grandma's beloved ministry “Ministerio de Ancianos Peniel” which she was a part of for many years, and her husband continues to be a member as well.
