Bring Our Grandmother Home
Donation protected
On behalf of our grandmother, Felicia Tanedo Maran, we’d be grateful if you would take a moment to hear her story and share it with others.

Felicia was supposed to come back home from Thailand on January 6th. One day prior, she was taken by ambulance to McCormick Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She was suffering from a severe headache.
The doctors discovered she had a brain aneurysm that required an immediate surgical operation. Thankfully, the brain surgery was successful, but she has not yet gained full consciousness and still needs assistance breathing. Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover overseas hospital expenses. Once she does gain full consciousness, she will still need to recover speech and mobility. Long-term care is indefinite.
The financial expenditure from the surgery and her hospital stay is currently $25,000 and continues to rise every day. This amount of debt has been an immense burden for Felicia and her family. The ultimate goal is to get Felicia back home to the U.S. where her care can be more easily managed, but her hospital bill needs to be paid first.
If anyone can help lessen this financial burden, it would be deeply appreciated. All contributions will go directly to Felicia’s hospital bill, rehabilitation, and transport back to the U.S. There is no contribution too small, and every single donation makes an impact. Please help bring our grandmother home.
