Felicia and Daisy

Dear Friends-- I'm reaching out to you during this holiday season to ask for your help in assisting Felicia, a friend of mine, and her special needs daughter Daisy. Back in April, their rental property in Zion was damaged in a fire and they lost everything. Shortly after that, Felicia lost her job. (Unfortunately, in trying to cut costs, Felicia didn't have renter's insurance.) Three weeks ago, Felicia got a new job, and as of January 1st, she and Daisy will be moving into an apartment in Antioch. So that's the good news.

Here's where I need your help. They don't have anything, other than some items like clothing that people have donated to them. They need things like furniture, pots, pans, a shower curtain, cooking utensils, a garbage can, towels, a hair dryer, cups/glasses, a microwave, a twin bed, etc.

In addition, Felicia is down to $100 right now and her full paycheck on Friday is going to the security deposit, which is $950. Then her check on January 6 will be put towards her first month's rent--another $950.

Even while struggling with all this adversity, Felicia is an individual who takes care of others, whether it's her daughter Daisy, the elderly lady in a nearby apartment who needs assistance, or who comes up with an idea to host a sensory-friendly performance at PM&L Theatre (a community theatre in Antioch). She is a dear person who could use a break, and I know any kind of donation you could share would be most appreciated and well-used in helping this dynamic duo start the new year on a positive note!
