On Aug 24, 2017 Derek and Sewell Feenstra left their home knowing that Harvey was coming. Their home had flooded (and they were rescued by dingy) during the 2016 Tax Day Flood. They weren't leaving anything to chance.
On Sept 7 2017, they were finally able to get back to their home to find 5-6 feet of water and all their belongings unsalvageable (see pictures above).
They had just gotten back into their home in April of 2017 to start re-building after the 2016 Tax Day flood and then BOOM. Harvey Hit. Leaving behind...
Nada. Zilch. Zippo. Start over central. SO. We thought it important to start a campaign.
This couple is 79 and 82 - not a great time to start rebuilding, but life works in funny ways. If you feel so inclined. Please help in any way you can. If you are in Houston, they love visiting and would love to see you. They are lively folks and lots of fun.
