Buying 50kg bags of maize to feed 800 kids

Our charity fundraises for the work being carried out by our sister NGO with charitable status in Malawi, set up in 2017 primarily to relieve poverty and improve quality of life, particularly for children, many of whom are orphans and whose lives have been affected by HIV, the elderly and infirm. As The Foundation is in a rural location in Northern Malawi, there are no charities feeding children in school, so all children rely on the feeding programme. It was the intention to feed 200 orphans and vulnerable children but word has spread and there are up to 800 children coming for their only proper meal at weekends. Some of these children are walking up to 20km. As you can imagine, feeding this many children is a big drain on finances and we would really appreciate some support. The Foundation grows it’s own crops very successfully but it’s not enough for so many children. Maize is cheapest to buy just now at approx £15 per 50kg bag (there will be delivery charges). Can you help buy a bag of maize for the store please? The children will be so grateful for their one substantial meal of the week.
