Hello! My name is Michelle and I live in the UK. This is my 2nd fundraiser for food (a big feed) and urgent vet care for the cats and kittens on the streets of Marrakesh. My first fundraiser raised £450, and I spent 7 days in Marrakesh from 3/09/25-10/09/25 feeding as many starving cats and kittens with this I could. I also gave local people food to enable more locals to feed them. I am returning there 29th November 2025 for a week to repeat the process. In addition to the food, the money raised is also used to get urgent vet care for the cats and kittens as the need arises, and it will frequently unfortunately.

For those who aren't aware in my last trip I rescued a 6 week old kitten who I am adopting, and also since my return to the UK I am now also adopting a blind kitten found in a horrific state on the streets there. It was not my intention to adopt but I couldn’t bear the thought of putting them back on the streets. They are in boarding in Marrakesh now where they will stay for 5 months before flying to the UK.

I am very happy to say that my neighbour Molly who is big on animal welfare will be joining me on this next trip. It’s great to have her help to feed and attend to the cats needs, but also the company as I did feel isolated on my own there in September. Anyone else wishing to help me on one of my trips please contact me, you are more than welcome.

Back to the cause, if you are able to donate, however little please do to help alleviate some of the heartbreaking suffering of the extremely vulnerable cats and kittens in Marrakech. Also if anyone wants to adopt a cat or kitten from the streets please contact me.
