Feed Houston's First Responders
Donation protected
My name is Ernest Johnson and I live in Houston, Texas. While listening to the news in Houston this afternoon, I heard the Chief of Police talk about the bravery of the city's first responders. What touched me was his statement that for the past 36 hours, they have been surviving on PowerBars. At that point, I decided to help.
I reached out to Levi Goode with Goode Company BBQ and we decided to host about 3,000 first responders for lunch at his Armadillo Palace on Kirby Street on Wednesday, August 30th. It's central Houston location will make it accessible for police, fire, medical and other emergency responders to come by for a hot meal. Right now, Levi and his team are smoking hundreds of pounds of prime Texas brisket for our first responders.
My company, ApexOne Investment Partners is donating $25,000 to offset the cost of this event. We would like to raise another $40,000 to offset the costs. Any amounts left over will be donated to a local charity to assist in the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Many of you have asked how you can help. Let's help those who are helping so many Houstonians.
Anything you can spare will be appreciated. While the rain may be ending, we are just at the beginning of solving the problems Houston will face; and our first repsonders will be there for us all along the way.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
Please spread this on your on account to your friends!
Kindest Personal Regards,
Ernest Johnson
