Feed the Rescue Horses 2020 -2021

Donation protected
Humanity for Horses Rescue Foundation saves horses that are destined for slaughter for human consumption.

With the pandemic and the uncertainty of the CoVid virus Humanity for Horses is starting a new fund raiser for our hay bill for the coming year.  Its has been a difficult start to 2020 as we used more hay than expected due to mass flooding and horses having to stay off the fields and inside for the month of Jan and part of Feb as the excessive rain flooded all the fields.

Now the uncertainly of the CoVid virus, has literally stopped the world as this dangerous and potentially deadly virus continues to spread.  Equine Canada and BC Horse Council have put in restrictions on visitors to the rescue both for donation drop off's and viewing of adoptable horses is now our new reality and causing significant strain on resources.

The bank account is down to a balance of $65.05  ......a lease payment of $1700 due May 15, vet bills in excess of $4850  and daily feed costs of $230 we are finding ourselves in serious need.

(*note the horses shown in this article were all saved by Humanity for Horses and Willow was pregnant at the time and gave birth to a healty baby colt May 16 2019)

The rescue currently has 44 horses as Abigail (spite us being told in Oct 2019 wasn't pregnant) surprised us and gave birth to a little Filly Easter Monday April 13, 2020.  We also just found out our little Tessa is about to give birth....the gift of life amongst so much chaos and hardship....it truly is a breathe of fresh air and a reminder that miracles do happen and to hold on and ride the wave.

Abigail and Tessa both would have been slaughtered last summer had we not saved them.

Please if you can help us to feed the horses and secure our hay supply for the next year it would be so gratefully appreciated and heart felt.  No amount is too small and adds up quickly.

It takes a village to see change and we are changing the life of each and every horse or pony that walks through our doors.   These horses in our care are safe and are the lucky ones...all are well cared for and healthy and do get regular vet and farrier care....

God Bless, and please stay safe and well.

Huge heart felt thank you.
