My friend, Denise Vachon was hospitalized 3 months ago with an infection in her leg's after a vein removal surgery and things went downhill from there. Shortly after being hospitalized, she had to be placed on life support for a few days, which was followed by several hospital and rehab stays. Denise passed away on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025.
She was a life long South Kingstown native, graduate of South Kingstown High School 1980 and a self employed hairdresser dresser for the last 40 plus years in Wakefield and Narragansett.
Her only son, Greg Dickinson and her companion, Jack Guy were her caregivers during this difficult period.
Greg has been unable to work for several months so that he could oversee her treatment and care for his mother.
The money from this go fund me will be used to pay for Denise’s final expenses at Avery Storti funeral home in Wakefield and also to catch up on her bills until Greg can get back on his feet.
There will be a celebration of life at the South Kingstown Elks Lodge #1899 at a future date.
