Feed the Children of Buwofu – Emergency Food Support for Tenderheart Children’s Initiative

In the village of Buwofu, Uganda, dozens of orphaned and homeless children rely on one young man: Joshua Mbogoli, founder of Tenderheart Children’s Initiative.

These children have no steady source of food, no government assistance, and no local market to depend on. Every meal comes from love, community, and whatever support Joshua can gather.

This GoFundMe focuses on providing immediate support for the children by purchasing bags of Maize, Rice and delivering them to the guardians tending to the children. This way the guardians are able to feed the children consistently. One bag of a staple food at a time.

A typical living situation for. the orphaned and homeless children is that they are housed in groups of 10 -20 in huts that are tended to by the community elderly women. Often the guardians do not have any food to give and children go hungry.

It is s a joy to work with Joshua and to provide transparency on all transactions. The funds are delivered to Joshua directly who coordinates the purchasing and delivery of food on site. We are currently working to register this non-profit initiative with the NGO board in Uganda. It can be a slow process for those living in rural Uganda. Out primary focus is on resource delivery while we also navigate the processes of registration. Thank you for supporting this effort.
