Kroschel Wildlife Refuge animals

I am in the tourism industry in Haines, Alaska and I do all of the scheduling and provide busing for guests who come to Haines to visit the Kroschel Wildlife Refuge.  This refuge is very unique and none other like it in Alaska.  Steve Kroschel lives at Mosquito Lake near Haines and is permitted by the State of Alaska to raise his wild animals.  The animals that he has are his family and he works day and night, 365 days a year, caring for them, many of which he has raised from babies.  He has a Kodiak bear, 2 moose, 2 wolverines, mink, marten's, 2 wolves, several fox, reindeer, just to name a few.  These animals depend on Steve for their lives and trust him as their caregiver.  Steve works with all the cruiselines that come to Haines & Skagway and thousands of guests have experienced this unique and wonderful tour.  When COVID hit our country, the cruiselines did not come to Alaska for 2020 and this wonderful refuge was impacted drastically.  As a friend of Steve's we have watched him struggle just to keep the animals fed but with winter here, it is more difficult to get their natural food that they need to survive.  Steve was not able to take advantage of any of the Federal funding that was available, so I would like for anyone who wants to help, contribute to our Go Fund Me page.  This has been a difficult year for everyone, so any amount you can donate to this Wildlife Refuge will help.  Thank you all and stay safe and healthy.  There are better times coming. #smallbusinessrelief
