Feed the Cuban People. Save the Forest
Tax deductible
We are
the Friendship Assn., an all-volunteer, non-profit to foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation between people of the U.S. and Cuba through educational and cultural exchanges and participation in projects that benefit Cuban civil society, and in particular, the environment.
The wildlife of the forests are casualties when meager rations don't suffice. We are teaching local communities to conserve the local habitats for birds and mammals and create vegetable and herb gardens for sustenance. To attract visitors to our educational tutorials on the environment, we also established a soup kitchen for which we need equipment and supplies.
Our organization focuses on somewhat forgotten areas of the island, which sorely depend on us. Hunger is not unfamiliar.
In our 20 years, we have shipped 23 forty-foot containers to eastern Cuba as well as hand-delivered numerous donations, including hard-to-find medicines and educational materials.
