Love bites. Bite back.

Logline: When a heartbroken June is bit by a grasshopper, she decides to keep it as a pet. As the two grow together, June learns about connections and relationships, discovering her own need for boundaries and standards.

"Love Bug" is Riley Miracle's third short film and will be her thesis film as she approaches graduation from DePaul University this June. Riley is a writer and director from Northern Michigan currently based in Chicago. She enjoys telling stories that follow imperfect characters, specifically valuing the tangibility of sensory-centric arts like practical effects, puppets, and stop-motion animation.

Funding will be applied to:
- set meals for cast and crew
- location permits
- puppet-building materials
- props and set decoration
- wardrobe
- special effects
- travel expense reimbursement
- festival submission fees
All backers will be listed in the credits under our special thanks. We appreciate any amount of financial support you can spare.
