These are challenging times. Yet, the measure of society is how we respond, behave, and rise to these challenges.
Our medical professionals are on the "front line" of this pandemic response. Many work overtime and barely have time to rest or ...eat.
Concurrently, local food establishments are impacted by the mandatory closures of their facilities and are at risk of losing their businesses.
Our idea is to raise funds, buy prepared meals from local restaurants, and deliver them to the front line medical personnel at unexposed locations designated by our regional medical facilities. This will help our emergency personnel and help our local businesses!
Following the proper social distancing protocols and mitigating the risk of exposure, we will be coordinating the delivery of meals prepared by our local restaurants to our medical front line workers.
No monetary donation is too small. 100% of money will go to purchase meals.
If restaurants want to participate by offering discounts, the money will go further.
Volunteers who want to help with delivery also must follow appropriate social distancing protocols.
