Feed Linemen and Support Florida's Iconic Restaurants

My name is Gunnar Kemp and am in the food sales industry on the West Coast of Florida. Many of the restaurants that have been impacted by Hurricane Milton are ones that I work with and are iconic spots here on the Florida Gulf Coast. As someone who moved to the region a year ago, I have seen how amazing the community is here and want to preserve many of the things we all enjoy. West Coast Florida's economy relies heavily on tourism which is right around the corner and many of the local restaurants depend on this time of the year to make ends meet.

My goal is to address two needs at once. First, 100% of this fund will go to restaurants that are currently open and serving customers, and also restaurants that are currently rebuilding/cleaning up so they can make ends meet. This will be a 50/50 split between the two. Second, the funds going to restaurants that are currently open will specifically be to "Buy A Meal" for the linemen working in our area. Many of these linemen work around the clock and have been away from their families for a month if not more. With many restaurants still closed this has created an issue for the linemen not able to get food when needed. So this fund should help the restaurants still open be able to hire people to help temporarily.
