Feed It Forward – Because Every Child Deserves a Full Stomach and a Full Heart

With recent SNAP cuts, many families in our school community are feeling the pinch. As a parent to two kids at Johnson Elementary, I’ve seen how much our kids thrive when they’re cared for, and that starts with a good meal. Feed It Forward was created to make sure no child ever has to go hungry or worry about lunch or breakfast. It cost $4.25 a day to help feed 1 kid. That includes breakfast and lunch. The feed it forward fund currently is running dry with $22 left. Every dollar donated goes straight toward covering meals for students who need a little extra help. This money will directly go into the accounts past due or those accounts that are empty. So we can feed these kids immediately.

When we Feed It Forward, we’re lifting up our neighbors, easing the stress on families in need, and showing our children what it means to take care of one another.
