Hi all, Harrison and Lexi here! We are inviting our friends, family, and community to take a closer look at what’s going on in Nepal right now. Due to an unprecedented glacier land slide, flooding from the Nepal-Tibet boarder swept down and caused destruction in ways we could never have believed.

In 2017, I moved to Kathmandu, Nepal to work with a business planting, anti-human trafficking group, where I worked for the following 5 years. During this period of time, both Lexi and I, worked alongside locals passionate about socioeconomic change. This work often brought us into many of the areas affected by the recent August 26th flooding.

While over 13,000 Nepalis were rescued, over 1,200 lost their lives, and reports (as of Sept. 4th) of 5,000 still missing. Over 7,250 home were destroyed during the floods, causing many unhoused people to move out from the valley and up into neighboring mountain villages. These villages need relief aid in the form of freshly cooked meals, hygiene products, water purification, and funding/ resources for victims to rebuild.

Due to our connection to these people, understanding of the culture and language, and resources available to us when reaching Nepal, we’ve decided to take a small team out there to provide relief aid. We will be joining in with Kairos Nepal, a local nonprofit organization, to help their efforts and bring awareness to flood victims’ real time needs.

Our goal is to raise $45,000 broken into these segments:

$15,000 = feeding 600 displaced Nepalis for 2 months

$16,000 = rebuilding of 4 Nepalese family homes

$12,000 = supplies, water purification, and other resources needed for relief teams

If our goal is reached, every $142 over the fundraiser amount will be given to feed a new family.
