This Friday through Sunday, over 2,000 volunteers from across the country are converging on Blue Mounds, Wisconsin to rescue beagles from Ridglan Farms, a breeding facility with documented animal cruelty violations including surgeries on dogs without anesthesia. This event has been covered by CNN, USA Today, the Washington Post, and FOX News.
These volunteers are leaving their jobs, booking flights, driving hundreds of miles, and risking arrest to carry dogs out of wire cages. Many of them will spend three days in cold, rainy, outdoor field conditions.
There is no food budget for this event. Zero. 2,000 people with no plan to feed them. That is an operational risk that could undermine the entire mission. People without fuel burn out, leave early, or don't come back for day two.
Every dollar raised here goes directly to food. Bulk rice, pasta, bread, fruit, protein bars, water, and hot meals from local restaurants and caterers.
$5 feeds one person one meal. $20 covers five. $8,000 covers the full weekend.
Even sharing this page helps. These dogs have spent their entire lives in cages. The people coming to get them out deserve to eat.
