Hi, my name is Dr. Bettye L. Holston-Okae. I am a resilient, faith-driven, and hardworking woman whose life has been shaped by discipline, perseverance, and purpose. Like many people, I have experienced seasons of challenge and transition, but I have never allowed setbacks to define my direction. Instead, I use every experience as a stepping stone toward growth and leadership.

I was raised in a hardworking family that instilled in me the value of integrity, accountability, and self-sufficiency. From an early age, I understood responsibility and the importance of contributing wherever I was planted. That foundation shaped my work ethic and my commitment to excellence in every role I have held.

I began my professional journey in retail, working both front-office and back-office support roles, and quickly advanced into assistant management with Best Buy. After earning my degrees, I transitioned into federal service, where I held roles with agencies such as Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration, Social Security Administration, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the United States Census Bureau. These experiences strengthened my expertise in operations, compliance, financial oversight, risk management, and leadership.

In addition to my federal background, I have more than a decade of experience in mortgage servicing, claims supervision, loss mitigation, and operational management. I have overseen complex processes, ensured regulatory compliance, and led teams with a focus on accountability and results. My academic journey—culminating in a doctorate in Organizational Leadership—reflects my deep commitment to lifelong learning and advancing organizational excellence.

My story is one of resilience, discipline, and faith. I believe in lifting others as I climb, leading with integrity, and standing firm even in uncertain seasons.
