hi y'all, i'm deja! i am a 45 year-old queer person of color with disabilities and an aspiring artist. i am in need of help in order to keep living in my apartment and avoid homelessness.

i have been working towards eventually becoming self-employed so i can sell my art and make a living, but the process is slow and it may not even end up coming to fruition due to the government coming after non-profit organizations that help me. i sell my art online and get enough money for some art materials and household supplies, but it's nowhere near enough to live off of steadily.

if i end up getting evicted due to late rent, i have no friends or family to go stay with if that happens and i am extremely vulnerable due to my disabilities as well, so i really want to avoid ending up on the streets with nowhere to go!

my rent is $405 a month (the added $25 is so it'll be even with the fees). with your donations i will continue to be able to have a safe place to live, keep my mental health steady, work on my art as well as work my way toward self-employment, be able to attend the visual arts program i go to every week (yes, that's my art you see in the display pic!), and be able to stay in contact with the social workers and agencies i keep in touch with throughout the month.
