Feather can't breathe & really needs our help
Everyone meet Feather. She was born in Vacaville to a feral mother who was on her, maybe 3rd litter of the year (now TNRd). When my husband and I picked her up for the first time, I remember hearing her cough like a human, over and over. Her congestion was so bad. She had a bad upper respiratory infection and I was immediately worried for the reason she could not stop coughing. I took her to an emergency appointment within the hour and had her looked at. She was put on oral antibiotics and given ocular ointment. I took her home and gave her around the clock care for weeks but she only improved slightly.
Weeks went by that turned into two months. Multiple check ins with 2 different clinics, multiple medicines and so much care and love has been put into this girl and her condition has only gotten worse. Her URI had improved, however she was still weezing and now drooling and has a raspy voice. Recently, after a day's hospital stay, it was discovered that Feather most likely has a polyp blocking her airways in her nose and needs a rhinoscopy procedure to find and remove the polyp. This is a quite delicate procedure for such a small animal so the quote we received reflects this. It is an urgent matter because the polyp is growing.
We need your help with Feather to be able to get this done for her. Please consider donating today. We need everyones help, or this can't be done. All donations are tax deductible and we can provide a receipt for anyone who requests one. Our goal reflects our previous medical visits, our estimate for the procedure, removal and a return check up, plus added fees that the gofundme will take out. Thank you for all of your help! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
PS. We cannot schedule this procedure to be done until we have the full amount of the procedure in hand of at least $3,500. I have included the estimate from VCA Encina below that they texted me.
