Fearing Family House Fire Fund

Hi, everyone, my name is Alex Tobias and I'm asking for your help. On the morning of November 25, 2021, Thanksgiving Day, my godparents, Syd and Jan Fearing, lost their home to a house fire near Leesburg, VA. Everything is gone, and all that's left is a hollow shell of the home that held two generations of Fearing's.

 

I grew up here, countless days playing on this property, and many nights spent. Birthday parties, Fourth of July, New Years'....every year. This was my home away from home. If any of you know Jan and Syd, their door was always open. They've given so much, and have been a blessing to so many. I'm happy to say everyone is safe, although sadly some beloved animals did not make it. The house was engulfed in minutes. It's going to be an uphill battle to get the Fearing's back on track, and on the road to rebuilding. Any amount you can give would be tremendously appreciated. Hopefully if there is enough awareness, I will be able to raise the goal. I will update more on what other help may be needed once everything has been assessed and organized. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Hello! This is Jan and it was our home devastated by this fire. We are truly overwhelmed by your response to this request for help. I wish I had words worthy to describe our feelings of thanksgiving for you all. You've raised plenty of funds to get us started on this new challenge and you've made that possible. We love you for your generosity! The greatest blessing is that we are all ok. The greatest pain is the loss of our beloved Little Dog and two kitties, Napoleon and Harmony. We are mourning for our furry family members something awful. The house too was so precious... a 200 year old log cabin where we've lived for 21 years and been in the family for over 70 years. It was held together by character and love and it can never be replaced. But we will build again and just keep on living as we go. From our hearts to yours, bless you all. Love, Jan & Syd
