To all my loved ones, family, friends, co-workers, friends of friends,

It is with great sadness and shock to be sharing the news my family and I learned about my current health condition this past Monday.

I’m still in so much disbelief and many of you may be as well after reading this.

The weekend of Memorial Day, a lump was discovered in my right breast.  After anxiously waiting for the Holiday weekend to pass I went to go see my doctor.

The same day I underwent a mammogram and ultrasound; when the initial results came back the nurse over the phone said you’ve been misdiagnosed and it is simply a tissue growth and they would follow up with an ultrasound in 6 months. Two days later I received a phone call that no one ever wants to hear, the pathologist mixed up my lab results with another patient and I was positive for Triple Negative BREAST CANCER.

Like anyone, I couldn't believe what I've heard, and to think I had placed my life and trust into that pathologist on that day.  Needless to say, I underwent a second opinion the following week and the results have been confirmed.

To see the pain, my husband, Jag is experiencing right now is unreal.  To have to explain to our 6-year-old daughter, Khilee, was one of the hardest things I've had to face.

As many of us, you would never bare the thought this may happen to you or any of your loved ones and people you deeply care for.

This past Thursday, a port has been inserted into my chest to undergo the 5 months of chemotherapy treatments that lie ahead.   I will begin my first round of chemo on Wednesday, June 27th.

Several surgeries lie ahead.   I am still waiting for the results of my gene test, which may take up to several weeks.  This test will determine if I carry the gene that could lead to cervical cancer.

I'm so sorry for such a long drawn out explanation of myself; as many of you who know me, I'm not big on posting things about my personal life on Facebook.

At this point, I have no choice because I have no idea what my future holds.  I want to live to see our daughter graduate H.S., go to prom, her first date and so much more!!!

If you're comfortable, I ask you to generously share my story with others.  Please feel free to email me or post comments/questions.

I and my family will always remember the support that we have already received and all of the support going forward thru this journey with me and my family!

There is no price tag you can add to someone's life, but when you have a daughter, who is 6 years old asking "Mommy are you going to die?" it's so painful to hear.

If you are able to help financially we will forever be grateful!!

Your kind words and support will also help me push forward and see a light at the end of this tunnel we call LIFE!!!!

Yours truly,

Viktoriya
