Our family is rallying behind Mollie as she fights an aggressive mouth and jaw cancer. She’s already endured two major surgeries totaling 20 hours, 8 days in the ICU, and faces months of treatment ahead. We’re asking for your help to ease the crushing financial burden so Mollie can focus on healing and beating this disease.

Help Mollie Fight Cancer

Mollie’s medical journey began with what seemed like a simple sore spot in her mouth. After several trips to the dentist and finally a biopsy, she received the devastating news: cancer.

Further testing at the West Clinic in Memphis revealed that the cancer had already spread into her jawbone and neck. Mollie underwent a 12-hour surgery where doctors removed part of her mouth and jawbone, then rebuilt it using tissue and bone from her leg. Complications required another 7-hour surgery, bringing her total time under the knife to 20 hours.

Mollie spent 8 days in the ICU and remains in recovery. She is going home with a trach, feeding tube, and daily home health care. And her fight is far from over. Mollie will need immunotherapy, radiation, and possibly chemotherapy in the months ahead.

The Financial Burden

Even with insurance, the costs are staggering:

$5,000 max out-of-pocket hospital stay

$6,000 for surgeon and anesthesia bills (two separate surgeries)

$8,600 in co-pays for home health, immunotherapy, radiation, and chemo

Plus additional expenses for follow-ups in Memphis, travel, and the reality of being out of work during recovery

In total, Mollie’s medical bills are expected to be close to $20,000.
