Run for Recovery

On October 22nd I will be running my first 50 mile race. I'm running in order to raise money which will provide scholarships for recovering people to a recovery house. For those who understand addiction you know how important those first few weeks are to someone who is trying to change their life. It costs approximatly $800 a month for someone to live in a recovery house. Giving someone a chance to get on their feet and not have to worry about housing or food can make all the difference in someone changing their life.

At work, me and my co-workers come across deserving individuals who need financial assistance but we are unable to use our own funds to help them.  The most difficult thing is to tell someone they cannot get help because they have no support from anyone.  I'm hoping to raise enough to give at least one person a better chance at making life lasting changes.

Running began in my early recovery because someone gave me a chance. Its been only a few short years and Im looking to show just how far one step at a time can bring you. Whatever you can give will go towards giving someone else the same chance.
