And the journey continues!
I was diagnosed with a recurrence of Pancreatic Cancer this past June 20. Since then I have completed 3 full rounds of 3 each of Chemo with my amazing Oncology Team @ Pacific Shores Oncology under the TLC of Dr. Simon Tchekmedjian :') and tomorrow I proceed to the "mapping" "measuring" and "scanning" aspect of the Cyber Knife Radiation Surgery with Dr. Amazing, Amanda Schwere! (Body cast-mold, 2 CT's and 1 MRI)
I have a tumor marker already implanted on my "well-differentiated tumor" (this is a good thing!) and tomorrow's procedure will set me up for the actual surgery in a week or 2 at most...
I over-achieved on my chemo "Go Fund Me" goals DUE TO YOU and your joining me on this journey!
And am so thankful that I will be able to pay for the balance of my 3 more rounds 3 each of chemo (minimum) which resumes in about 3 weeks - through the end of the year.
Additionally I have a surplus which I applied to my portion of the 20% co-pay and saved a small amount of funding myself for the procedure. (Yay!)
I won't try to tell you it has been easy... But you already know that. Life is tricky as it is. Add a chronic disease and it is just "trickier" right?
But I can say with all my heart that your joining me, your being right there besisde me, in the very trenches with your thoughts and prayers, your funny, sweet notes, calls and texts and the hard-worked-for donations you have given with such thoughtfulness is my hope reservoir ~ the tank that I pull from ~ maybe that we all pull from?
I look so forward to this FIGHT - this PHASE - of treatment that IS THE PATH to blasting this cancer out! I love and lean on my Doc's amazing disposition of positivity and his unyeilding and powerful focus on my being Cancer FREE in 2016 !!!
My prayer remains constant & always the same.
That this experience will be used for the good of others
and I pin my heart on the promises of God's Word...
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or even imagine ~ according to His power that is at work within us..." Ephesians 3:20
