Help Fund Our Teen Mobile Media Bus

Thank you everyone for all your support and donations so far!! We are seeking $10,000 to be the first Teen MOBILE Media Center providing career development teen workshops and youth mentoring. Your gift will help provide our students with a shuttle bus, media equipment, and a structured curriculum that we can bring right to your front doorstep!

The Future Development Youth Center is the production of Frankie J. Wood’s vision of providing the city of Davis and neighboring communities a hands-on opportunity to workshop with professional media equipment and tools as a creative outlet for youth and teens.

Frankie started FDyC back in March 28, 2014 after he felt and saw that there was a need in the Davis community for a youth teen center. Prior to the grand opening of the Future Development Youth Center, the last time the city of Davis had a center for youth was November 24, 2009.

As a result of growing up as a troubled teen and experiencing the positive effects of having access to a youth center, as well as having the opportunities to use the media arts as an outlet, Frankie was compelled to bring a Teen Center back to his community that was music-oriented in order to provide at-risk youth with guidance and mentorship.

Now, as a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Frankie desires to take his mission on wheels in order to reach a larger number of youth and communities that are underprivileged and underrepresented.

With this vision in mind, Frankie hopes to fund raise enough money to have a state of the art mobile media bus that provides teenagers with fun and accessible career development opportunities.

By providing youth with these opportunities to gain valuable skill sets, such as familiarity and exposure to media production, technology, software, and hardware applications, Frankie wants to equip teens to become competitive employees in the job market.

Ultimately, FDYC is seeking to fund raise $10,000 to provide Northen, California and other neighboring counties with the first ever mobile media center bus so that we can bring the experience to YOU!

Thank you for your support and we hope to be in your neighborhood soon!
