In Memory of Jacob Morton

On March 21st, 2025, Jacob Kyle Morton passed away unexpectedly in Duluth, Minnesota, at the age of 20.

Jacob was an enrolled tribal member of Couchiching First Nation and a lifelong resident of Duluth, Minnesota. At the time of his passing, he was a full-time student at Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College, where he was on the Dean’s list while pursuing his AA degree in American Indian Studies with dreams of attending law school one day.

Jacob was born and raised in Duluth and especially loved Lake Superior. His greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Binesi, who he loved more than anything in this world. He was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00am Friday, April 4th, 2025, at The River Church in Duluth, where he had been regularly attending at the time of his passing.

Funds raised will help cover funeral and other expenses.
