Top surgery has been something I’ve dreamt of for a long time and I’ve decided it’s time to make it happen.

Top Surgery is a gender affirming surgery for individuals seeking a masculine chest. The procedure involves breast removal (Mastectomy) and masculine chest contouring.

Throughout my complex journey with gender, my chest has always caused me a lot of discomfort physically and emotionally. I believe top surgery will allow me to be in true alignment with myself and my gender. Waking up feeling the figurative and literal weight of my chest feels more difficult and suffocating as each day passes. I want to feel sunshine on my chest with no restriction, I want to swim in the ocean and feel water flow over an uncovered surface. I want to feel relief of the chronic pain my chest causes. I want to feel free.

My goal

Im hoping to raise money towards the cost of surgery, and towards taking time off of work after surgery to properly recover. (6 weeks)

Right now I have an estimated cost of about $8500 for surgery. Anything beyond that would go directly towards initial post op related materials and caretaking / time off work by my partner. In addition to rent/bills while I’m taking time off to recover.
