This is Christina Jamio. We know her as Christy or Ate Chris. She is 45 years old. She is a great friend, wife, and mother of two boys. She has worked very hard her entire life in order to help her family live a simple but comfortable life. She is a selfless and caring woman that would do anything for her friends and family. Over the many years that I have known her, I have never seen her without a positive attitude and a smile on her face. As hard as it is to see her have to go through her condition, she still has a good outlook on life and makes everyone smile.

Just over a year ago, Christy had a very bad seizure. She was rushed to the hospital, where after several tests, she was diagnosed with Diffuse Glioma Grade 3 at the posterior parietal area. She had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor, then went through radiation, which resulted in a loss of mobility on her left side, both arm and leg, and a loss of vision. The family is going through a tremendous amount of difficulty because she was the one mainly supporting her family. As she is no longer able to work, her two kids had to stop their college education in order to work and take care of her at home. Her husband,s income is not enough to cover the daily medicine maintenance, and her very limited Insurance coverage is not sufficient to cover all medical expenses.

We are really hoping this fundraiser will help cover Christy’s ongoing medical expenses as well as living expenses due to the lack of employment income. It is also her wish that her boys could continue their college education.
