Hi, I'm Arturo Del Puerto. I'm an actor who lives in LA. I was born in Puerto Rico and have close ties to the island having spent much of my childhood there. A lot of my family and friends are there now, and I've seen firsthand the devastation and suffering all Puerto Ricans are experiencing.

When Fiona hit, I knew I had to do something. I started this GoFundMe to raise money for HASER - a trusted non-profit organization that is working with 7 community groups from different parts of Puerto Rico to provide emergency food, shelter and supplies, analyze damage from Fiona, and coordinate logistics for rebuilding across the island.

It has almost been a week since Hurricane Fiona hit, and the majority of the island still doesn't have access to clean water or food, electricity, and shelter. Puerto Rico has suffered from compounding crises and has yet to recover from Hurricane Maria and the destructive earthquake which hit in 2020. Our island doesn't have the infrastructure to support a full recovery, which is why your aid is so crucial at this time.
