Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, I’ve been pursuing my passion for aviation over the past few years. My journey began with a flight in a single-engine Cessna out of Watsonville, where I experienced the incredible freedom of soaring through the skies and looking down on my hometown. This moment ignited my love for flying and connected me with an amazing community.
Throughout my training, I’ve faced various challenges, from navigating different aircraft to finding the right instructors and flight schools. Consistency in my training is crucial, and I’m fortunate to have joined a fantastic flight school with an instructor who truly values their students. However, the costs of flying have been a significant challenge. It’s not cheap.
This spring, I received a partial scholarship from the Pajaro Valley Aviation Association (PVAA), something I had worked towards for years. This support reaffirmed my commitment to this path and allowed me to resume my training. I’m proud to have logged over 30 flight hours.
Now, as I enter a critical phase of my training that requires frequent flying, the financial burden has become overwhelming. I’m not typically one to ask for help, but I believe it's necessary at this stage. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go directly toward my training costs (plane rental, instructor fees, fuel, etc.).
Thank you for your support.
