3/12/2023: Hey Beam Team! Wesley 's Aunt Carie has created a website to keep family and friends updated on his journey.

Wesley will begin radiation treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Wednesday, March 15th. He will be traveling back and forth each week day for a total of 15 days before taking a week break. This will allow the Beam Team to be together each evening. Marcie’s mom and niece will help for the first few days and weeks. After the break, Wesley will then start another 3-week course of radiation. On Fridays, he will be taking the trial medication.

3/1/2022 update:

Our family is overwhelmed with the love and support we have received over the past week. Words can not express our gratitude, only prayers of thanks. We will plan to share updates as often as possible. Wesley was very fortunate to be accepted into a clinical trial immediately at Johns Hopkins. He received his first dose of one of the research medications today. Wesley is scheduled for a biopsy Thursday morning and radiation will begin as soon as he has recovered. This long journey has just begun. This means reduced income while Marcie and Luke stay with Wesley, childcare for Preston, and the expensive treatments at the out-of-state hospital. Please continue to keep the whole family in your thoughts and prayers. And please continue to share Wesley's story of strength and love.

2/22/2023: We are raising money for our son/brother/grandson/nephew/cousin/friend, Wesley Beam, who was recently diagnosed with Childhood Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an aggressive brain tumor. This little 3-year-old can't fight alone and we are here to lift up this sweet boy and his family. Though we all live in different cities, we can all come together to help him and his family. We are hoping this fundraiser will allow Marcie, Luke, Preston, and Wesley to spend more time together without having to worry about money. It will help pay for travel expenses, hospital visits, food, and invaluable family time. The future is unknown, but every small donation will help.
