Hi, my name is Angela Dykes and I’m fundraising for my daughter Martesa Evans. Here’s her story!!

Martesa life reached it pinnacle of joy on Oct 27th, 2023 when her beautiful baby boy was born. It was a moment filled with love and hope as she held her precious child in her arms for the first time. Little did she know that just a few months later, on Feb 15th 2024 her world would be shattered. She received the most devastating call that her precious son Azaryah was unresponsive. The anguish and fear that gripped her heart in that moment is unimaginable. As Azaryah was rushed to the hospital Martesa experienced a world wind of emotions. She later discovered the unthinkable her son had suffered injuries over a period of time, culminating on that fateful day. Determined to uncover the truth and seek justice for her child, she courageously joined force with agency social workers, and detectives In her pursuit of the truth she even offered to take a polygraph test but the agency deemed it was unnecessary. They informed her that they knew who was responsible for the abuse and she immediately made a decision for the safety of her and Azaryah. Martesa believed that cooperating with the agency justice would be served and she would be reunited with her beloved Azaryah. However, her hope was cruelly crushed on Friday May 27th 2024. During visitation Azaryah was forcibly taken from her arms and she was taken away in handcuffs treated like a criminal. To her utter shock she discovered she was being charged with aggravated child abuse a crime she could have never fathomed. This devoted mother who risked her life to bring her child into this world, now found herself facing accusations that tore in her soul. This is an unimaginable nightmare that no mother should ever have to face. We implore you from the depths of our hearts, to rally together and support Martesa in her time of need. We are pleading for your help to raise the funds necessary to secure the release on bail, which amounts to 15,000. Additionally her legal fees are estimated to range from 25,000 to 50,000. We understand that this is a significant amount but every contribution no matter how small will make a difference.
