Medical, and physical therapy expenses

Hello everyone, this fundraiser is dedicated to my dear friend and "niece", Maya Bachmann. "Sweet Maya" had a serious accident on the 16th of August, fracturing her spine and pelvis. After a horrific night and struggle to get medical help, she was admitted to Geisinger Trauma Center.

Her story is scary but inspiring. At 19 years of age, and alone, she knew what to do. In the middle of the night after falling off a 13-foot loft in the cabin that she was house-sitting, without Wi-Fi or cell phone reception, unable to walk, and in terrible pain, she was able to crawl out of the cabin and more than 40 yards of trail to the nearest reception point to call 911.

This fundraiser is dedicated to helping her cover the extra medical, physical therapy, and travel expenses needed to return to California for a full recovery. She won’t need surgery, which is a huge relief, but she will need extensive physical therapy and further appointments to make sure she is healing well. I'm also requesting a little extra $ as Maya's mom, Rocio, has traveled from California to the Himalayan Institute to be with Maya and taken an emergency leave of absence from work, a little extra to help cover some additional expenses-
