Help Ashton be Brave

Ashton was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan anemia (a bone marrow failure syndrome) at 8 months of age. For the first 4 1/2 years of his life he was 100% dependent on corticosteroids to maintain a hemoglobin level conducive with life. He also required countless blood transfusions when his counts would drop too low. He also battled cyclic neutropenia, so some weeks he would be neutropenic and other weeks he would be fine. The curative treatment for this is a bone marrow transplant. Ashton was admitted to the Children's Hospital of Colorado on May 18th, 2014 and is currently still a patient there. He was discharged once at the end of June but was readmitted a few days later with fevers of unknown origin. He has been battling these scary fevers since that time.
