Help Tony get back on his feet

Ever since I can remember, soccer has been my passion. I’ve been in soccer teams since the age of seven, and have loved every moment I’ve spent on the field for the past 20 years. For the past two seasons, I’ve been playing in the TASL league in Raleigh, NC as a defender for Citizens. Unfortunately, last Thursday 7/21/22 during a game, a player from the opposing team collided with me which led to the impact to my tibia (shinbone) being snapped in half. I had never felt so much pain in my life. This led to an emergency surgery that I am slowly recovering from.
I never thought that a sport that has given me great memories could also give me one of my worst ones. The recovery period for this surgery is around 6-8 weeks plus months after recovery to get back to being physically active. I will not be able to walk during this time since I will be resting, recovering, and going to physical therapy. This will not only affect me emotionally, physically, but also financially. I am unable to work during this recovery period due to the nature of my job, which requires driving and lifting. This is why I am setting up this GoFundMe. All the money raised will be used to cover the costs of the surgery and basic life necessities while I recover. Since I don’t have health insurance, it is hard to find financial aid that can help cover the medical expenses.
I appreciate your donations and support. It means the world to me and my family. I will keep you all posted throughout my recovery.
Thank you for your prayers.
