This is by far one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Mom’s death on Mothers Day 2018 , two days after her 77th birthday, came just 12 hours after I received the dreaded call that she had “coded” and was in a coma. They say bad things come in threes, and I am a believer after my recent car accident, then my hospitalization and now the worst possible: an emergency trip, Mom’s funeral, her hospital bills, and possibly loss of income while I stay here in Missouri to take care of her things before I return home.
Mom (Hazel) was a beautiful person, and flowers are beautiful but they are also expensive and so very temporary. In lieu of flowers for her funeral, I hope my friends will consider this fund to help cope with the overwhelming end of life costs that I am faced with since Dad and my only brother have passed on as well.
One of the things I remember about Mom was her willingness to help her friends, so, in that spirit any help you can provide will make such a difference as her small family prepares to celebrate her life, then take care of all her things, so I can return to the life I love with my South Carolina friends. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me or Jason.
