Myself and my children really need to get out of our abusive situation. I have been staying home with them for 3 years and have fallen into an emotional and financially abusive relationship with their father. I am trying to heal and be a good mom, but it's too hard under someone's thumb who keeps funds from me unless needed, screams and yells at me, and calls me every name under the sun. My son has started to repeat him, and both kids scream when we fight. I'm being honest because I really need the help to get away.

I have a support system in California I am trying to get us to. I need food, gas, and extra funds for the inevitable. I am also hoping to use some of the funds to get a studio or 1-bedroom place once we arrive where we need to be safely. I am already looking into jobs but can't interview or apply fully anywhere yet unless someone can hold a job for me until I get settled and find childcare. I will be looking for any help or any hope.
