On Sunday, November 29, 2020, the world lost a bright light when Cori Gross – an irreplaceable member of our family – died unexpectedly. Her family & friends, which literally span across the globe, mourn her loss.
In an effort to shine a light into the darkness, and to celebrate Cori’s life, her family is establishing the Cori Gross Arts Lovers Scholarship. This scholarship will provide the necessary funds for less-fortunate children and teens to attend a summer arts camp or learning program of their choice.
In lieu of flowers, the family hopes you will contribute, large or small, to this scholarship. 100% of all donations will go directly to the kids.
Cori’s love of the arts were unquenchable and permeated her life. It seems like she was writing poetry before she could walk. She was a voracious reader, a deep thinker, and she loved dance, music, photography, film & television, and story-telling.
Cori was a beloved sister, daughter and friend. Her sense of humor was one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable. She was brilliant, loving, thoughtful, and above all, tender-hearted. This scholarship is a fitting tribute to her life, her passion and that tender heart.
For the summer of 2021, we will likely target the youth of western North Carolina. It is our desire to continue this scholarship, in perpetuity, just as our love and memory for Cori is unending.
We look forward to sharing wonderful stories of kids following their artistic passions, all because of your generosity, and Cori’s beautiful life.
